Schwarzenberg (for Greens, SZ) stressed that the conference should be held as soon as possible. "He gives twice, who gives without delay," he said. The Czech Republic could organise the donor conference, Schwarzenberg said. "I hope it will take place in Prague," he added. He noted that other countries, too, are considering such a conference. If another country assumed this task, the Czech Republic would cooperate with it, Schwarzenberg said. The Czech cabinet has already decided to donate 150 million crowns to Georgia.
This financial aid, divided to cover the period of three years, is to help restore the damaged infrastructure in this country. ($1=16.456 crowns)
